Arkhan paused and pondered the question. He had died and been reborn, reshaped by the Dark Lord. But how much of himself crossed back over from the void? What memories, if any, remained dead, lost in time like so many sand grains passing through death's bony fingers?

That was what he did. Nagash hollowed out his wards replacing whatever they once had been with his own dark, vital will. Was he Arkhan or Nagash's memory of Arkhan?

My first memory of Arkhan is of a mad smiling skull dressed in papal attire astride a bone chariot. He represented the quintessential archetype for what the undead were - a collection of gothic horrors in a fantasy universe.
