I feel like a master of Karond Kar breeding fell beasts for the legions of Naggaroth to wage war upon the world. Here before you I have dredged the deep waters of the Acid Ocean for two mighty Kharibydss, creatures of nightmare.

I love the function of the Kharibdyss in game and I thought that GW could have made more of their otherworldly nightmarish attributes. There's something deeply unsettling about a creature that was born in the utter darkness and cold of the deep sea - a being utterly inimical to human mores.

The new Dark Elf monster is quite a beast. I decided to use a cool palette inspired by deep sea creatures. I worked red into the shadows for contrast and painted the maws a desaturated purple washes with blue oil paint. The strands of spittle were created using UHU glue and an old brush.

This miniature is on sale but I intend to add one to my Black House - my prince loves a new toy to play with.
