Infamy Bust Uncle John
I wanted a darker vibe with this miniature so I used the notes written by Grant Morrison in the back of Arkham Asylum concerning the Mad Hatter. I painted the irises in different colours with a purple undertone to the flesh, as if the blood weren't quite a healthy red. The more I painted it the more it resembled Arsene Wenger! But with a parrot and a capuchin!

How gorgeous is this model? As soon as I finished her I wanted to paint another.
This assassin fits in with the usual archetypes of the assassin - La Belle Dan Sans Merci of the 41st millennium.

This clade still feels relatively new to me. I remember when the Celexus was first released and gawking at that strange oversized helmet. Reading about the horror of the Pariah left an impression in the wider background of 40K and on myself. Like the Evesor this assassin strays away from the usual Assassin archetypes and strays into much stranger territory.

Officio Assassinorum Vindicare

Those were the first Latin words I remember committing to memory. To a ten year old they sounded like words I could live by, good words to repeat in times of crisis and what not. I'm glad I grew out of it now knowing the kinds of things people do using this philosophy as a justification. But no such moral angst is engendered by the scions of house Vindicare where the deed has to justify the act.
