What a masterpiece of a model! Many people don't like the lion/hydra/animal mask by by god when seen in person it is magnificent. I went a different direction with it and painted the mask silver. For some reason it reminded me of the Gladiator that is sent to kill Russel Crowe's character in the movie Gladiator (you know the one scene with all the lions). 

I didn't want much in the way of contrasting colours present on this model. For me the Alpha Legion are all about greens, purples, blues, turqoises - colours that are bunched in that area of the colour wheel. Let the Ultramarines bandy around complimentary colours, the Harrowing are a lot more subtle.
